Homework, News, and Announcements

Language:


-Reading:
-2 List poems. One reflects on our reading unit and the other remembers a story you've read.
-STUDENTS SHOULD ALWAYS BE READING AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY ON A REGULAR BASIS!
-ALWAYS have a "Just Right"  (grade level, appropriate, etc.) book ready for every reading class

-The following website you can now sign out books in the York Region District School Board DIGITAL LIBRARY!:


-Writing:
-Grade 5 and 6's - Put more emotion and details into the climax of your story (following the lesson on Nov. 9th).


-Media Literacy:
-N/A.


Math:

-Relating Tenths, Hundredths, Thousandths Action Task (Grade 5 and Grade 6 versions).

-Grade 5: Currently on our Social Studies unit.
-Grade 6: Currently on our Social Studies unit.

Social Studies:
-Grade 5: Look at the websites I posted on the Social Studies Google Classroom to investigate the answers to the "W" on your KWL chart. Answer the two reflection questions about the True/False Statements Activity: "1.) What was one true statement that surprised you? Why? 2.) What was one false statement that surprised you? Why?"
-Grade 6: "Canadian Collage" now complete.


Health:
-Grade 5's: Working on 5 frame storyboard in groups.
Grade 6's: Write out list of factors that make you decide you want to eat/drink something.


Visual Arts:
-Working on Indigenous Line Art.


Drama/Dance:

-Have now begun bullying drama role play.
