Homework, News, and Announcements

 Homework:


Language:

-Reading:
-Pick a part of your book and go through the steps (which we took notes on from today) for making a confusing part of your book clearer...I will be checking this for completion on Monday.
-STUDENTS SHOULD ALWAYS BE READING AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY ON A REGULAR BASIS!
-ALWAYS have a "Just Right" book ready for every reading class.

-Writing:
-Finish your first "Flash Draft" of your story and feel free to share it with me on Google Docs for feedback.
-Make sure you have ALREADY done the following from previous lessons:


Math:

-Start preparing/studying for our Math test.
-Math test Wednesday October 4th.
 -Get math quizzes signed.
-Here is a good site for Math support for the Nelson Math program: 


Science:
-Digestive system diagrams and short story. (ALREADY DUE).
-Science Report using the Scientific Method.



Social Studies:
-Our government unit has now begun.

Health:
-Netiquette, Cyberbullying and Online Safety Review sheet.

Visual Arts:

-TBA.

-After marking places in your book with post-it notes, write about the part of the book that "awakened" you the most in today's independent reading time.
-STUDENTS SHOULD ALWAYS BE READING AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY ON A REGULAR BASIS!
-ALWAYS have a "Just Right" book ready for every reading class.

-Writing:

-Come up with a seed idea for your story you will be writing a Flash Draft for
-Make sure you have ALREADY done the following from previous lessons:
-Underline parts of your MOST CURRENT personal Narrative that match the Narrative Writing Checklist that I have attached to our Google Classroom.
-Come up with 2 writing goals for next session.
-Revise the "spark" stories to make sure the details ring true and that you stay within the boundaries of your main character's perspective (from today's lesson).

Math:

-Pg. 49 #1-6 Student workbook page #17.
-Get math quizzes signed.
