Homework, News, and Announcements

Language:


-Reading:
-Oral presentations for our assigned articles now ongoing.
-STUDENTS SHOULD ALWAYS BE READING AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY ON A REGULAR BASIS!
-ALWAYS have a "Just Right"  (grade level, appropriate, etc.) book ready for every reading class. 
-The following website you can now sign out books in the York Region District School Board DIGITAL LIBRARY!:


-Writing:
-Balance your evidence with analysis after our most recent Writing lesson. Complete this to be up to date by Tuesday April 6th.


-Media Literacy:
-We are working on Question #3 from the Media Literacy task which was attached to the Writing Google Classroom. We will continue to work on it next day 5. This is Due in two Day 5 classes on April 21st. 


Math:

-Grade 5: Patterning: Working on Lesson #5. Complete the graphs of the patterns we did so far from the class lesson (see Google Classroom).
-Grade 6: Patterning: Working on Lesson #5. Complete the graphs of the patterns we did so far from the class lesson (see Google Classroom).
-Try some patterning practice at: visualpatterns.org

Science:
-Grade 5: Complete the first page of your assigned source of energy. Due for completion on Wednesday April 7th - Day 5).
Grade 6: Working on Electricity unit Task 1B. Due on Day 5 for presentation. (Wednesday April 7th - Day 5).


Social Studies:
-Grade 5: Currently in Social Studies Unit
-Grade 6: Currently in Social Studies Unit.


Health:
-Grade 5's: Complete the Social and Personal factors to choosing to drink alcohol sheet. 
-Grade 6's: Safe School Community exit card due by next health class.


Visual Arts:
-Northern Lights activity NOW DUE.


Drama/Dance:
-We have now began our Dance Unit.

-Redraft your essays to fill in the gaps of information. This should be done by next writing class on Wednesday March 31st..


-Media Literacy:

Also complete the Basketball Experiment "Think About It" questions and complete the last page of the package as well (you can use your answers from the "Think About It" questions to help complete that as well).
