Homework, News, and Announcements

***School will be close on Friday. Here is what you could do on Friday for "asynchronous" work:

1.) Practice using our predictions reading strategy again.

2.) Look at this video link below on "Light and Colour" to keep your mind on the topic of the Unit Light and Sound for when we get back and continue the unit:

3.) If possible, get some fresh air outside and enjoy the snowfall!

Language:

-Reading:

-Do a detailed predictions based on last lesson. Predict not only WHAT the character will do next but also HOW they will do it. Remember to use examples from your independent reading text.
-Stone Fox brochures now due.
-Here is our class "EPIC Reading" code: ury6154.
-STUDENTS SHOULD ALWAYS BE READING AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY ON A REGULAR BASIS!
-ALWAYS have a "Just Right"  (grade level, appropriate, etc.) book ready for every reading class.
-The following website you can now sign out books in the York Region District School Board DIGITAL LIBRARY!:
-Writing:
-Finish and submit your Biography. - NOW OVERDUE.



-Media Literacy:
-Presentations on our "All About Me" websites were completed.


Math:

-Complete the final Data Management task...was due today and most students already handed it in. 
-Here are some good websites to practice with:

-Completed Lesson #1 of our new Science Unit: Light and Sound. Complete the answers on slide #6 of the Lesson #1 Energy slideshow.


Social Studies:
-Complete the first Fourth slide from the slide show taking notes on Comparing our Early Society with a First Nations Society.

Visual Arts:

-Finished work with Birch tree Art.

Health
-Group projects for Internet Safety now complete.

Drama/Dance
-Bullying skits now complete.
