Homework, News, and Announcements Homework: Language:


Language:


-Reading:
-For your independent reading at home, mark pages with post-it notes where your character(s) act "out-of-character" and then think deeply and come up with a theory why they are acting out of character.
-STUDENTS SHOULD ALWAYS BE READING AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY ON A REGULAR BASIS!
-ALWAYS have a "Just Right" book ready for every reading class.

-The following website you can now sign out books in the York Region District School Board DIGITAL LIBRARY!!!!!!:



-Writing:
-Go over your research reports and revise to make your writing more FORMAL.
-Next day we will have  full period to work on putting in timelines into our research and then coming up with Cause and Effect theories.


-Media Literacy:
-Looking at the Media and how it affects our eating choices (connected to Health unit).



Math:

-Pg. 136 # 1,2,4,5. review material for Quiz on Monday.
-Here is a good site for Math support for the Nelson Math program: 


Science:
-Properties of Matter Quiz now complete.

Social Studies:

-Complete the research on ALL the political parties. We will begin our bill proposals next day.


Health:

-Choose one of the three commercials we watched today and rated and answer the questions on the back of the page you received today..


Visual Arts:
-Sketching - the classroom telephone.
