Homework, News, and Announcements Homework:

Language:


-Reading:
-Write a Theory about a character in the novel Wonder. Observe small actions that the character does and make theories about the character based on these small actions that don't necessarily affect the plot.
-STUDENTS SHOULD ALWAYS BE READING AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY ON A REGULAR BASIS!
-ALWAYS have a "Just Right" book ready for every reading class.

-The following website you can now sign out books in the York Region District School Board DIGITAL LIBRARY!!!!!!:



-Writing:
-Go over your research reports and decide what questions you have left unanswered about your topic, then do the necessary research to fill in what is missing.
-Next day we will have  full period to work on putting in timelines into our research and then coming up with Cause and Effect theories.


-Media Literacy:
-Looking at the Media and how it affects our eating choices (connected to Health unit).



Math:

-Pg. 135 # 3-6.
-Here is a good site for Math support for the Nelson Math program: 


Science:
-Chemical changes and Chemical Properties pages.
-Next Day 4 we will be having a Properties of Matter Quiz.

Social Studies:

-Complete the research on ALL the political parties. We will begin our bill proposals next day.


Health:

-Choose one of the three commercials we watched today and rated and answer the questions on the back of the page you received today..


Visual Arts:
-Sketching - Mr V's shoes from day 5.
