This post is for our school day for Tuesday April 20th. 

Tuesday is Day 4 on our daily cycle and we will be following our regular schedule as we always would, so you will be doing Literacy (Writing), Math, Visual Arts, and French. You will be going to the Google classrooms for each subject to get your work that I have posted.

Today will be SYNCHRONOUS learning, meaning that  we will be live for most of the day except for 25 minutes each block for independent work and except for recess and lunch. 

As usual the school day begins at 9:10am.

Language:

-Reading:

-Read a non-fiction text and use the prompts on the Reading Google Classroom to come up with questions to consider about your text. Then come up with theories/responses to these questions you came up with.

-STUDENTS SHOULD ALWAYS BE READING AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY ON A REGULAR BASIS!

-ALWAYS have a "Just Right"  (grade level, appropriate, etc.) book ready for every reading class.

-Writing:

-Update your essays with rebuttals and counterclaims after our most recent Writing lesson. Complete this to be up to date by Thursday April 8th.

-Media Literacy:

-We are working on Question #3 from the Media Literacy task which was attached to the Writing Google Classroom. We will continue to work on it next day 5. This is Due in two Day 5 classes on April 21st. 

Math:

-Grade 5: Patterning: Lesson #9. Complete the "Star Bats" attachments on the Math Google Classroom.

-Grade 6: Patterning: Lesson #9. Complete the "Star Bats" attachments on the Math Google Classroom.

-Try some patterning practice at: visualpatterns.org

-Grade 5: Electricity package. Due by Wednesday April 21st.

Social Studies:
-Grade 5: Currently in Science Unit

-Grade 6: Currently in Science Unit.

Health:

-Grade 5's: Student Resource 7 and Student Resource 8a. Also post your comments to the Health Google Classroom as instructed in the Health Google Classroom lesson. Due by next Health class. 

-Grade 6's: Respond to the Health Google Classroom prompt in the comments section.

Visual Arts:

-Northern Lights activity NOW DUE.

Drama/Dance:

-We have now began our Dance Unit.
