Homework, News, and Announcements


Everyday, you can click on this link to join the google meet which will begin at 9:10am: 



Tuesday is Day 3 on our daily cycle and we will be following our regular schedule as we always would, so you will be doing Literacy, Math, Music, French, and Health. 

We will be live for most of the day today except for 25 minutes each block for independent work and except for recess and lunch.


French:

-Please turn in your Show-and-Tell slideshow and practice to present Wednesday/Thursday of this week. 


Language:


-Reading:
-Complete the Reading Response Journal Entry about paying attention to our characters' motivation and struggles and how we can learn and make theories about the characters. Due by next reading lesson on Wednesday. 
-STUDENTS SHOULD ALWAYS BE READING AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY ON A REGULAR BASIS!
-ALWAYS have a "Just Right"  (grade level, appropriate, etc.) book ready for every reading class. 
-The following website you can now sign out books in the York Region District School Board DIGITAL LIBRARY!:


-Writing:
-We revised our research reports to consider multiple perspectives in our research.


-Media Literacy:
-N/A.


Math:

-Grade 5: Working on the "Evaluating Variable Expressions" slideshow activities.
-Grade 6: Working on the "Evaluating Variable Expressions" slideshow activities.

Science:
-Grade 5: Read the Chemical Changes and Chemical properties information package and complete the worksheets that go with it by Thursday.
-Grade 6: Space Task #3 work due by Thursday.

Social Studies:
-Grade 5: Complete the Rights and Responsibilities 3.3. worksheet by Thursday. - Quiz on everything in the government unit we have done so far on Tuesday February  16th.
-Grade 6: Currently on our Science unit.


Health:
-Grade 5's: Complete first two rows of the "Student Resource 1: Persuasive Techniques" task which is posted to the Google Classroom responding to the two food/drink commercials we saw in class on Tuesday January 19th. 
-Grade 6's: Choose two guiding questions and a choice board presentation task by Due Feb. 10th.


Visual Arts:
-Graffiti Art - Now complete.


Drama/Dance:
-We have begun work on cultural theater around the world anaysis.
