Homework, News, and Announcements

Lunchtime Potluck:

Our Potluck is temporarily delayed due to student absences. 
Please continue to sign up for items on the spreadsheet below and we can try to reschedule when more of the slots fill up.

Homework


Language:


-Reading:
-A NEW 1/2 page Reading Response Journal entry. Making theories about characters. This time paying attention to characters' actions and patterns of behaviour to help make these theories.
-STUDENTS SHOULD ALWAYS BE READING AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY ON A REGULAR BASIS!
-ALWAYS have a "Just Right"  (grade level, appropriate, etc.) book ready for every reading class

-The following website you can now sign out books in the York Region District School Board DIGITAL LIBRARY!:


-Writing:
-Begin to use the Information Writing Checklist and start fact-checking for accuracy. 

-Media Literacy:
-N/A


Math:

-The "Action Task" answers and the "Your Turn" answers and the "Sum it Up" pages for the "Measurement Precision" lesson are now posted on the Google classroom for review.
-Began work on the "Constructing Shapes with Given Perimeters Action Task." Will continue work on this next day. In the mean time, can play the games that have already been posted on the Google Classroom for this unit so far.

-Space Unit: Task #3 due Wednesday Feb.12th.


Social Studies:
-Task #2 of our new unit due Wednesday Feb. 12th.



Health:

-The sentence prompts from today will be due for next Health class (regarding the lesson on "Am I Hungry? Am I Full?").


Visual Arts:
-We are working on our Aurora Borealis Pastel Artwork. We will be given more time in class to do this so there is no need to work on this at home.


Drama/Dance:
-Protagonist/Antagonist skit writing is in progress.
