Homework, News, and Announcements

Language:


-Reading:
-Write about 2 moments where you put a new, deeper meaning on it when you re-read it. It "woke you up."
-STUDENTS SHOULD ALWAYS BE READING AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY ON A REGULAR BASIS!
-ALWAYS have a "Just Right"  (grade level, appropriate, etc.) book ready for every reading class

-The following website you can now sign out books in the York Region District School Board DIGITAL LIBRARY!:


-Writing:
-Write about 2 moments you had in the correct point of view, making sure that your "details ring true."

-Media Literacy:
-Have now started our "All About Me" web pages. Will have more time during class to work on so no need to work on this at home yet..


Math:

-Read the problem from today's class and think about possible strategies (but do not complete it).
-"Knowledgehook" (sign up when we get the class code). 
-Here is a good site for Math support for the Nelson Math program: 


Science:
-Task 1 for Grade 6's due today. Task 2 due next day.  Grade 5's to complete the Science lab report for the cracker experiment which is due next Science class. 


Social Studies:
-We will be revisiting Task #1 and the oral presentations.  Task 2 is no longer due next Science class.


Health:

-The Part 1 lesson response NEEDS to be complete and Part 2 of the video needs to be watched BEFORE next health class.

Visual Arts: 
-Plan for the Consumerism/Cultural Pride collage are due by next Art class. Bring in flyers and/or magazines to support with this if you want to do a collage on paper instead of online.


Drama/Dance:
-Working on Improvisation unit.
