Homework, News, and Announcements


Language:


-Reading:
-Notes on the "skimming technique" we learned about non-fiction books and then taking full notes on the article you were assigned.
-We have started reading the class novel "Seepeetza".
-STUDENTS SHOULD ALWAYS BE READING AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY ON A REGULAR BASIS!
-ALWAYS have a "Just Right"  (grade level, appropriate, etc.) book ready for every reading class

-The following website you can now sign out books in the York Region District School Board DIGITAL LIBRARY!:


-Writing:
-Put in counterclaims (arguments against your thesis) and your rebuttals (your arguments AGAINST the counterclaims) into your essays.

-Media Literacy:
-N/A.


Math:

-Pg. 345 #1,2,5A, 7, 9. 
-"Knowledgehook" (sign up if you haven't already with the class code: Yoyo7786). 
-Here is a good site for Math support for the Nelson Math program: 


Science:
-Final Project planning sheet due by next Science class.

-Take notes on First Nations trading sheet.
