WINTER ELECTIVES ARE BACK!  



 Our grade 4-8 students will be given the opportunity to enjoy two, fun-filled days up Snow Valley in Barrie, Ontario (Tuesday, January 9th and Wednesday, January 17th).  Sign up your child for skiing, snowboarding, or tubing.  Registration packages outlining all the details have been sent home with every student.  Please return your completed forms to your child's homeroom teacher, and please make your payments using SchoolCashOnline.

Homework, News, and Announcements

Homework:


Language:

-Reading:
-"Wonder" Synthesis Reading Retells (summaries) of the reading from page 56 "School Pictures" to Pg. 62 (the end of Part 1) are now due.
-Choose an online digital library book to read with your reading partner.
-STUDENTS SHOULD ALWAYS BE READING AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY ON A REGULAR BASIS!
-ALWAYS have a "Just Right" book ready for every reading class.

-The following website you can now sign out books in the York Region District School Board DIGITAL LIBRARY!!!!!!:



-Writing:
-Personal Narratives are now due!

-Media Literacy:
-Have now presented our "All About Me" Google Sites.


Math:

Pg. 184/185 #1,2,4,5,6,8,10,11.
-Math Test on Multiplication and Division will now be on Monday, November 27th.
-Here is a good site for Math support for the Nelson Math program:

-Test now complete.
-Reaction Time Experiment and Report - NOW DUE



Social Studies:
-Presentations for a foreign country's system of government due next Social Studies class.

Health:
-Decision-making model scenario skits completed today.


Visual Arts:
-Working on Self-Portraits.
-Complete name plate graffiti (now due!).
