Updates from the current day are always in yellow highlights.


Language:

-Reading:

-Read up to the end of Chapter 6 of Number the Stars. Students are to complete a RETELL of the story up to that point. Notes posted on the Reading Google Classroom. This is due for submission on Thursday October 30th.
-Here is our class "Epic Reading" code: ubx3440.
-STUDENTS SHOULD ALWAYS BE READING AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY ON A REGULAR BASIS!

-ALWAYS have a "Just Right"  (grade level, appropriate, etc.) book ready for every reading class.
-The following website you can now sign out books in the York Region District School Board DIGITAL LIBRARY!:
-Writing:
-Revise your stories to elaborate on the important parts. See Google Class notes. Submitting Writing progress for a check-in will be on Wednesday, October 29th.
-Cursive letter "I."



-Media Literacy:
-Web Design Projects now being presented!. Now due...submit on the WRITING GOOGLE CLASSROOM.


Math:
-Patterning Unit Lesson #3. Complete questions #1 and #2 from the lesson notes and fill in the self-assessment (paper handout). See Math Google Classroom. 

-Here are some good math resources to explore: 

-Worked on Hinterland Who's Who Assignment. Will be worked more on in class. Will be due on Monday November 3rd.


Social Studies:
-Task #4 worked on. Due for presenting (quick one!) on Thursday, October 30th.


Visual Arts:
-Painting silhouettes completed. Time this week will be given for those that need a bit more time.

Health:

-Hunger and thirst cues skits worked on. Will be presented on Wednesday October 29th

Drama/Dance:
-Introduced Lesson #5 Cultural Dance Research Project. Will be given more time to work on.
