Homework, News, and Announcements - 家庭作业、新闻和公告

Updates from the current day are always in yellow highlights. Work is always due by the next time we have that subject unless otherwise stated.


Language:

-Reading:

-Read up to page 24 ("Lisa") of "To Hope and Back." Answer the Section 1 "To Hope and Back" comprehension questions attached to the Reading Google Classroom.
-Here is our class "Epic Reading" code: ubx3440.
-STUDENTS SHOULD ALWAYS BE READING AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY ON A REGULAR BASIS!

-ALWAYS have a "Just Right"  (grade level, appropriate, etc.) book ready for every reading class.
-The following website you can now sign out books in the York Region District School Board DIGITAL LIBRARY!:
-Writing:
-Choose a paragraph topic from the Paragraph Writing Prompt Ideas attachment on the Writing Google Classroom and write a paragraph. Use the attached organizer for support if you need! This will be due next Writing day (Day 4)...Note that I have also added more information to the post, but that will be for NEXT class. 


-Media Literacy:
-Worked on our Web Design project.


Math:
-Representing Whole Numbers assessment completed today.  
-Here are some good math resources to explore: 

-Biodiversity Task #3 introduced and worked on. Will be given more time next week to work on this. 


Social Studies:
-Worked on Task #1. Presentations will be presented next day 5 on Monday September 28th.


Visual Arts:
-Introduced the Limited Colour Palette Collage with the theme of "Reconciliation." See The Arts Google Classroom.

Health:

-Answer the reflection questions for your table's assigned scenario. To be completed by next Health class. See the Health Google Classroom.

Drama/Dance:

-Complete the last two slides of the slideshow: "Dance as Sport" for lesson #3. See The Arts Google Classroom.

-Representing Whole Numbers Unit Review. Complete the review and Concept Questions. I have already showed the students the Assessment itself and have given them a checklist of what to know. Assessment will be on Thursday of this week.
