Updates from the current day are always in yellow highlights.

Language:

-Reading:

-Read the Third section of "To Hope and Back" and apply a reading strategy we've used in the past. See Google Classroom notes.
-City of Ember Movie Comparison and Final Task NOW DUE!
-Here is our class "Epic Reading" code: ubx3440.
-STUDENTS SHOULD ALWAYS BE READING AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY ON A REGULAR BASIS!

-ALWAYS have a "Just Right"  (grade level, appropriate, etc.) book ready for every reading class.
-The following website you can now sign out books in the York Region District School Board DIGITAL LIBRARY!:
-Writing:
-Complete the explanation paragraph. See Writing Google Classroom notes.
-Come up with a topic/thesis/claim and 3 reasons to support your claim. See Google Classroom notes to find out how. 
-Morpheme work began. Completed Week 5 Day 2. See Google Classroom post.


-Media Literacy:
-The "Who is Creating this message?" Media Literacy task is now due!


Math:
-Integers, Rate and Ratio Review. Assessment will be on Friday. 
-Next quiz will be for /7. See Divisibility rules reference sheet. 

-Here are some good math resources to explore: 

-Electricity Design Challenge worked on. Will continue to work on. Please bring in building materials to work on this in class.


Social Studies:
-Canada's Interactions with the Global Community Assingnment #1 worked on.


Visual Arts:
-Perspective art now Due. Pablo Picasso inspired art introduced. ***PLEASE CONTINUE TO COLLECT RECYCLED MATERIALS FOR THIS ART PROJECT (examples: egg cartons, drink boxes, cardboard food containers , plastic bottles...all should be empty and clean)***.

Health:

-Health Scenarios introduced. Will be worked on next Day 5. 


Drama/Dance:
-Introduced Fractured Fairy Tales. See Google Classroom for more information.
