Updates from the current day are always in yellow highlights.


Language:

-Reading:

-Worked on City of Ember comparison essay (to the movie) OR the final task. To be given more time to work on. See Reading Google Classroom (you will need to scroll down a bit to find these).
-Here is our class "Epic Reading" code: ubx3440.
-STUDENTS SHOULD ALWAYS BE READING AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY ON A REGULAR BASIS!

-ALWAYS have a "Just Right"  (grade level, appropriate, etc.) book ready for every reading class.
-The following website you can now sign out books in the York Region District School Board DIGITAL LIBRARY!:
-Writing:
-Worked on researching and using Primary Sources of information. See Writing Google Classroom for more information. 
-Morpheme work began. Complete Week 1 Day 2 for next day. See Google Classroom post.


-Media Literacy:
-Introduced the "Who is Creating this message?" lesson. Will continue addressing questions #1 - 3 for next week.


Math:
-Decimal Operations Skill and Concept Questions and overall review. See Google Classroom for notes and resources. Assessment will be on Monday March 9th. 

-Here are some good math resources to explore: 

-Worked on Electricity Unit lesson #2. Due next Science day on Thursday, March 12th.


Social Studies:
-Canada's Interactions with the Global Community Task #1 presentations now ongoing. See Google classroom notes.


Visual Arts:
-Worked on Islamic-inspired Art. Due by next Art class on Monday March 9th.

Health:

-Began our discussion on Building Confidence. Notes posted on the Google Classroom. Will be continued next Health Class.

Drama/Dance:
-Drama Improv. games/activities continued during Drama Class. Improvisation skills will be assessed next drama lesson on Tuesday March 10th.
