Language:

-Reading:

-Read up to the end of Chapter 7 of Number the Stars. Students are to complete a RETELL of JUST THIS CHAPTER using Synthesis Retelling. They are then to answer the response questions posted on the Reading Google Classroom. See notes posted on the Reading Google Classroom.
-Here is our class "Epic Reading" code: ubx3440.
-STUDENTS SHOULD ALWAYS BE READING AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY ON A REGULAR BASIS!

-ALWAYS have a "Just Right"  (grade level, appropriate, etc.) book ready for every reading class.
-The following website you can now sign out books in the York Region District School Board DIGITAL LIBRARY!:
-Writing:
-Revise your stories to include a powerful ending. See Google Classroom notes.
-Cursive letter "J."



-Media Literacy:
-Discussion on safe and responsible uses of Artificial Intelligence (A.I.) in the classroom environment. Students can try out using Gemini (on the Google Suite).


Math:
-Patterning Unit Lesson #8. Complete the "Key Questions" in your Math Journals posted on the most recent Math post as a follow up to today's Graphing Pattern activity. See Math Google Classroom. 

-Here are some good math resources to explore: 

-Hinterland Who's Who Assignment presentations ongoing. Biodiversity assessment will be on Friday November 14th.


Social Studies:
-Assignment Part A introduced. Aurora residents please complete the survey by clicking on the link: 


Visual Arts:
-Remembrance Day Pointillism and Stippling activities introduced and worked on. To be continued on November 10th.

Health:

-Hunger and thirst cues skits presented today.

Drama/Dance:
-Dance workshop completed.
-Lesson #5 Cultural Dance Research Project presentations ongoing. Now due.
