Homework, News, and Announcements

I just wanted to thank everyone for their patience of my absence this week, which will continue throughout the rest of the week. I apologize for the inconvenience this will have caused, but I'm hoping to be back after the long weekend and we can continue on our Grade 4 journey.


 Language:

-Reading:

-Come up with 3 reading resolutions for this school year from today's lesson (see Reading Google classroom).
-PLEASE BRING (or have available) an independent reading text (a "Just Right" text).
-Here is our class "EPIC Reading" code: ury6154.
-STUDENTS SHOULD ALWAYS BE READING AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY ON A REGULAR BASIS!
-ALWAYS have a "Just Right"  (grade level, appropriate, etc.) book ready for every reading class.
-The following website you can now sign out books in the York Region District School Board DIGITAL LIBRARY!:
-Writing:
-Finish your flash drafts from Tuesday’s lesson.
-Cursive letter "L".



-Media Literacy:
-Working on our "All About Me" websites.


Math:

-Complete the first two Place Value Review attachments on the Math Google Classroom. The longest third one will be left for Thursday and Friday.
-Here are some good websites to practice with:

-Complete Slides 13 -17 of the Pulleys and Gears slideshow attached to the Science Google Classroom.


Social Studies:
-Colour in the Truth and Reconciliation pages from Friday.

Visual Arts:

-Began work on a new limited colour pallette collage on the theme of "consumerism" or "cultural pride."

Health
-Complete Stress Shield by next Day 3 Health class (see Google Classroom).

Drama/Dance
-Exploring improvisation activities/games.
