Homework, News, and Announcements

 Updates from the current day are always in yellow highlights.


Language:

-Reading:

-Create your "Graffiti page" of tips to help you read fluently (from today's class notes attached to the Reading Google Classroom). Then read for a few minutes using one or more of the tips and then write a response evaluating how the tip worked for you (did it help or not help and why?).
-Here is our class "Epic Reading" code: ubx3440.
-STUDENTS SHOULD ALWAYS BE READING AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY ON A REGULAR BASIS!

-ALWAYS have a "Just Right"  (grade level, appropriate, etc.) book ready for every reading class.
-The following website you can now sign out books in the York Region District School Board DIGITAL LIBRARY!:
-Writing:
-Be inspired by another author's writing to come up with an idea for a story of your own. Then write a short 3/4 page story (see writing class notes from today's lesson).

-Media Literacy:
-Continued work on our websites design. See Writing Google Classroom for notes.


Math:
-Representing Whole Numbers Skill Questions. Assessment will be on Wednesday or Thursday of this week. 

-Here are some good math resources to explore: 

-Task #1 is posted. Complete for next Science class. Due for handing in on Sept. 18th.


Social Studies:
-Worked on Task #1 of our unit in "Heritage and Identity" Due for presentation on Sept. 30th (Day 4).


Visual Arts:
-Began work on our Reconciliation Collages.


Health:
-Making Healthy Choices Lesson #1. Completed class charts listing some factors that affect our food choices. Will continue next day.


Drama/Dance:
-Continued our Improv. activities unit.
