Homework, News, and Announcements - 家庭作业、新闻和公告

Updates from the current day are always in yellow highlights. Work is always due by the next time we have that subject unless otherwise stated.


Language:

-Reading:

-Guided Reading Groups were worked with today.
-Read up to page 81 of "To Hope and Back". Answer the response questions to Section #4. We then took notes on how to decode words. See notes from the Reading Google Classroom. 
-Here is our class "Epic Reading" code: ubx3440.
-STUDENTS SHOULD ALWAYS BE READING AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY ON A REGULAR BASIS!

-ALWAYS have a "Just Right"  (grade level, appropriate, etc.) book ready for every reading class.
-The following website you can now sign out books in the York Region District School Board DIGITAL LIBRARY!:
-Writing:
-Collected Writers' journals for progress checks.
-Write a story using TRUE First Person Perspective. See Writing Google Classroom notes.
-Cursive letter "E."  


-Media Literacy:
-Presentations ongoing for our Web Design projects.


Math:
-Patterning Lesson #1. Multiplicative Rules "To Do" section and Exit Task to be done by Thursday. See Math Google Classroom.
-Here are some good math resources to explore: 

-Hinterland Who's Who assignment worked on. Will continue to be worked on next week. 


Social Studies:
-Task #3 introduced and worked on. Will be due by next Social Studies Class.  See Social Studies Google Classroom.


Visual Arts:
-Introduced Stippling and Pointillism with the theme of Remembrance. "Graded" night sky and silhouettes now due. See The Arts Google Classroom. 

Health:

-Scenarios given out to table groups to create role-plays with them. Will be worked on again next health class.

Drama/Dance:

-Worked on the Dance Research Project. Will be worked on next day as well. See The Arts Google Classroom.
