Homework, News, and Announcements - 家庭作业、新闻和公告

Updates from the current day are always in yellow highlights.

Language:

-Reading:

-Assigned Non-Fiction Articles to take Boxes and Bullets notes. See Reading Google Classroom for more information (for presentation on Wednesday April 8th). Worked on City of Ember Movie Comparison and Final Task. Due on Friday April 10th.
-Complete Boxes and Bullets notes for your assigned article. See Reading Google Classroom (you will need to scroll down a bit to find these).
-Here is our class "Epic Reading" code: ubx3440.
-STUDENTS SHOULD ALWAYS BE READING AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY ON A REGULAR BASIS!

-ALWAYS have a "Just Right"  (grade level, appropriate, etc.) book ready for every reading class.
-The following website you can now sign out books in the York Region District School Board DIGITAL LIBRARY!:
-Writing:
-Use multiple sources to get a more objective perspective in your research reports. See Writing Google Classroom for more information. 
-Morpheme work began. Completed Week 2 Day 2. See Google Classroom post.


-Media Literacy:
-Worked on the "Who is Creating this message?" task. Will have more time to work on questions #1 - 3 next day 5. Due on Friday April 10th.


Math:
-Data Management Skill Questions review for Assessment. See Google Classroom. Assessment will be Wednesday, April 1st.
-Next quiz will be for /5. See Divisibility rules reference sheet. 

-Here are some good math resources to explore: 

-Electricity Unit lesson #3 worked on. To be WORKED MORE ON Day 1 and to be done on next Day 2.


Social Studies:
-Canada's Interactions with the Global Community Task #3 worked on. Due on Wednesday April 1st.  Canada's Interactions with the Global Community Task #2 now due.


Visual Arts:
-Worked on perspective art with exploring structures. Will continue this exploration and practice next week.

Health:

-Began our discussion on Healthy Relationships. Will continue next week. 

Drama/Dance:
-Inclusion role plays began. See The Arts Google Classroom.
