Homework, News, and Announcements

 Updates from the current day are always in yellow highlights.


Language:

-Reading:

-Read Hatchet up to the end of Chapter 16. Then do a quick prediction based on the small details (hints) that the author gives to foreshadow what will happen next. Then complete the FIRST page of the comprehension pages attached to the Reading Google Classroom. One of the two predicting strategies we studied are now due.
-Here is our class "Epic Reading" code: ubx3440.
-STUDENTS SHOULD ALWAYS BE READING AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY ON A REGULAR BASIS!

-ALWAYS have a "Just Right"  (grade level, appropriate, etc.) book ready for every reading class.
-The following website you can now sign out books in the York Region District School Board DIGITAL LIBRARY!:
-Writing:
-Research information about your "difference maker" and fill in the "Why they are famous/what are they recognized for" section of the graphic organizer. Available on the Writing Google Classroom. Personal Narratives now due.
-Cursive letter 'V'.


-Media Literacy:
-Netiquette and Cyber-Safety Scenario questions. Submit in the WRITING Google Classroom. Complete the posted Scenario questions. NOW DUE!


Math:
-Whole Number Operations Lesson #3. Action Task and Your Turn Questions. The Cube and Sticker problem is now due for submission. 

-Here are some good math resources to explore: 

-Space Unit Task #2 introduced and will have more time to work on for Thursday. Due next Tuesday December 3rd for presentation.


Social Studies:
-Task #4 Presentations complete.


Visual Arts:
-Began work on Henna Art. Worked on rough drafts.


Health:
Hunger and Thirst cues scenarios now complete.


Drama/Dance:
-Second Afrobeats workshop completed.
-Dance lesson #4 today. Will continue this lesson next class.
