Homework, News, and Announcements

Updates from the current day are always in yellow highlights.


Language:

-Reading:

-Answer the following question about chapter 16: "What do you think Lina's new plan is?" Then complete reading Chapter 17 of The City of Ember. Please see Google Class comments.
-Predictions reading response journal entry from last week now overdue.
-Here is our class "Epic Reading" code: ubx3440.
-STUDENTS SHOULD ALWAYS BE READING AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY ON A REGULAR BASIS!

-ALWAYS have a "Just Right"  (grade level, appropriate, etc.) book ready for every reading class.
-The following website you can now sign out books in the York Region District School Board DIGITAL LIBRARY!:
-Writing:
-Was given resources to self-assess and "Put on the Final Touches" for our narrative writing stories. Will also peer-assess next day. Please see Writing Google Classroom for details. 
-Cursive Letter "S".



-Media Literacy:

Math:
-Representing, Comparing and Ordering Decimals Skill and Concept Questions worked on. Assessment will be on Monday February 26th OR Tuesday February 27th. Please see Math Google Classroom. 

-Here are some good math resources to explore: 

-Space Centres worked on. Make sure the sheets are filled in by next week.


Social Studies:
-Task 1 of new Social Studies Unit worked on. Please be prepared to share your answer to either A or B of the task next class. Please see the Google Classroom.


Visual Arts:
-Worked on Art using recycled materials. Will continue next week.


Health:
-The Effects of Stereotypes Lesson questions are posted on the Health Google classroom. Please have answers by next Health Class.


Drama/Dance:
-Cultural Dance research project worked on. Will be worked on next week.
