This post is for our school day for Wednesday June 2nd. 

Thursday will be Day 4 on our daily cycle and we will be following our regular schedule as we always would, so you will be doing Literacy, Math, Social Studies, and Health. You will be going to the Google classrooms for each subject to get your work that I have posted.

Today will be SYNCHRONOUS learning, meaning that  we will be live for most of the day except for 25 minutes each block for independent work and except for recess and lunch. 

As usual the school day begins at 9:10am.

Language:

-Reading:

-Choose a seed idea from reading non-fiction and write response to that text, teaching your reader about your topic using a particular lens. Follow the instructions on the Google Classroom. THIS IS NOW DUE!!!

-STUDENTS SHOULD ALWAYS BE READING AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY ON A REGULAR BASIS!

-ALWAYS have a "Just Right"  (grade level, appropriate, etc.) book ready for every reading class.

-Grade 5: Complete the Representing Fractions Greater than One Action Task and Your Turn Questions on the Math Google Classroom. Remember to always read through the entire Google Classroom post! Due by Thursday June 3rd.

-Grade 6: Complete the Skill Questions and Concept Questions on the Math Google Classroom. Remember to always read through the entire Google Classroom post! - Assessment on Thursday June 3rd.

Science:

-Grade 5: Conservation of Energy Inquiry Booklet now complete. Now due.

-Grade 6: Science Electricity games now due.....Now due.

Social Studies:
-Grade 5: Complete the "Contact - Jacques Cartier" work. Remember to follow the instructions of the Google Classroom post closely when completing this work! Due by Thursday June 3rd.

-Grade 6: Complete Task #4: "Trade" for Canada's Interactions with the Global Community. Due by Thursday June 3rd.

Health:

-Grade 5's: Finish choice board by next health class - Due Wednesday June 2nd. 

-Grade 6's: Complete the exit card from last week. Research one community agency and complete the Student Resource 4: Personal Safety and Injury Prevention Alpha Box and Student Resource 5: R.A.F.T. due by next health class on Wednesday June 9th.

Visual Arts:

-Currently in Dance unit.

Drama/Dance:

-Read over and complete the LAST 2 SLIDES on the Elements of Dance slide show on the Visual Arts Google Classroom. The Youtube video you will watch is on the second last slide...and it is also here:
