Homework, News, and Announcements

Language:

-Reading:

-Use the two strategies we learned in class about "Reading Yourself Awake." Write a Reading Response Journal entry discussing how it helped you engage more in your reading. See Reading Google Classroom post.
-Here is our class "Epic Reading" code: ubx3440.
-STUDENTS SHOULD ALWAYS BE READING AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY ON A REGULAR BASIS!

-ALWAYS have a "Just Right"  (grade level, appropriate, etc.) book ready for every reading class.
-The following website you can now sign out books in the York Region District School Board DIGITAL LIBRARY!:
-Writing:
-Come up with an idea for a story and describe your story/moment using the descriptive visualizing skills we learned in class. See Google Classroom notes.
-Cursive letter "C."



-Media Literacy:
-Worked on Web Design Project.


Math:
-Representing Whole Numbers Assessment completed. 

-Here are some good math resources to explore: 

-Introduced Task #2. Task #2 due on Tuesday September 23rd.


Social Studies:
-Presentations ongoing for Task #1.


Visual Arts:
-Worked on Limited Colour Palette Collage about Truth and Reconciliation. Due on Thursday September 25th.


Health:
-Continued to work on Lesson #1 about the Factors Affecting Food Choices.


Drama/Dance:
-Answer the reflection page (last slide) of the Dance lesson slide show and hand it in to the posted Google Assignment. See "The Arts" Google Classroom.
