Homework, News, and Announcements

Language:

-Reading:

-Literature Circles. Completed eighth round of Literature circle tasks. Read up to page 44 for The Children of Willesden Lane.
Read up to the following pages for next day (Tuesday June 17th):

-STUDENTS SHOULD ALWAYS BE READING AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY ON A REGULAR BASIS!

-ALWAYS have a "Just Right"  (grade level, appropriate, etc.) book ready for every reading class.
-The following website you can now sign out books in the York Region District School Board DIGITAL LIBRARY!:
-Writing:
-Poetry Lesson #4. Choose an idea for a "seed" poem to develop and do a Poetry Response to the attached poem on the Writing Google Classroom. See Google Classroom notes. 


-Media Literacy:
-News reports now being presented.


Math:
-Financial Literacy Setting Financial Goals "Your Turn". 
-Here are some math resources to explore for extra support: 

-Final Flight Task introduced and worked on. Due on Monday June 16th (the Monday morning block will be given for that day to work on it!).


Social Studies:
-Canada's Interactions with the Global Community Assignment #2 introduced and worked on. This is an ongoing daily journal activity so there is no particular due date. 


Visual Arts:
-Visual Arts and Culture reflection introduced. Due next Day 5 on June 10th.



Health:
-Continued Growth and Development Unit.
-Worked on lesson on "Preventative Measures for Safety". See Google Classroom. Complete Alphabet Safety Task (See Google Classroom).


Drama/Dance:
-Fractured Fairytales presented.
