Homework, News, and Announcements - 家庭作业、新闻和公告

 Updates from the current day are always in yellow highlights.


Language:

-Reading:

-Completed pre-reading activity for the novel read-aloud "To Hope and Back." Began reading Section #1 of "To Hope and Back."
-Here is our class "Epic Reading" code: ubx3440.
-STUDENTS SHOULD ALWAYS BE READING AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY ON A REGULAR BASIS!

-ALWAYS have a "Just Right"  (grade level, appropriate, etc.) book ready for every reading class.
-The following website you can now sign out books in the York Region District School Board DIGITAL LIBRARY!:
-Writing:
-Complete the "Favourite Movie" paragraph practice sheet attached to the Writing Google Classroom. This will be due next Writing day on Day 4. 


-Media Literacy:
-Began working on our Web Design project.


Math:
-Representing Whole Numbers lesson #1 Action Task and Your Turn questions to be completed by Thursday.  
-Here are some good math resources to explore: 

-Biodiversity Task #1 introduced and worked on. Will be due for submitting by Thursday September 17th. 


Social Studies:
-Worked on Task #1.


Visual Arts:
-After viewing the Art video in class (posted on The Arts Google Classroom) pick two Art pieces and explain why you connected with them (was to be done in your Art scrap book).

Health:

-Discussed several factors that influence our healthy eating and food choices. Will continue the lesson next health class.

Drama/Dance:

-Complete the last slide of the "Evolution of Dance Slideshow" for lesson #2 which asks the question to reflect on which dancer's philosophy you connect with most.
