Homework, News, and Announcements


Homework:

Language:

-Reading:
-Reading Response Journal Entry: Describe a theory you had come up with previously and explain how it has now changed into a different theory since new information has come about in our book "Hatchet."


-Writing:
-Flash Drafts of Research Report should be completed and they should not be fact-checked, and self-assessed using the Information Writing Checklist.
-Choose any piece of reading we did in Social Studies (article, etc.) and take notes on it. Then reflect on your collected notes and grow a "Big Idea." Finally, write a full sentence paragraph from your collected notes and the "Big Idea."


Math:
-Metric Conversions worksheet (was posted on Google classroom).

-Here is a good site for Math support for the Nelson Math program:

Science:
-Finish questions on the Chemical Change and Properties package.
-PROPERTIES OF MATTER QUIZ NEXT DAY 3.


Social Studies:
-Review the Jigsaw Political Parties sheet we completed in class and select a federal level political party that has the policies and values which you like the most.


Music:
-Currently in "What's in a Theme?" unit.
-The "Tortoise and the Hare" storyboard musical rhythmic presentations are due next day.

-Complete Jigsaw Political Parties Task to fill in the information about your political party you were assigned to (find the information at: pollenize.org/canada).


Music:
-Currently in "What's in a Theme?" unit.
-Finish Graphic Notation and Expressive Elements section of the "Tortoise and the Hare" storyboard.  Then practice saying the words with the accompanying percussion rhythm patterns you created.
