Homework, News, and Announcements

Updates from the current day are always in yellow highlights.


Language:

-Reading:

-Identify the main character's (Warren) motivations and struggles in the book "The Puzzle King." See Reading Google Classroom notes. Hatchet novel study now due.
-Here is our class "Epic Reading" code: ubx3440.
-STUDENTS SHOULD ALWAYS BE READING AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY ON A REGULAR BASIS!

-ALWAYS have a "Just Right"  (grade level, appropriate, etc.) book ready for every reading class.
-The following website you can now sign out books in the York Region District School Board DIGITAL LIBRARY!:
-Writing:
-Catch up on your research report if you need to. Then come up with your own ideas/speculations about the information in your research reports. See Google Classroom.


-Media Literacy:
-N/A.


Math:
-3D Figures and Area Skill Questions. See Google Classroom. Assessment will be next week either Tuesday or Wednesday.
-Divisibility Rules Quiz rescheduled for Monday. Numbers Divisible by 3. 

-Here are some good math resources to explore:

Social Studies:
-Assignment B worked on. See Google Classroom.


Visual Arts:
-Islamic Art Task introduced and rough copies worked on.


Health:
-Worked on our "Making Healthy Choices: Choice Board" work. See Health Google Classroom. Due next Tuesday January 21st.


Drama/Dance:
-Second Afrobeats workshop completed.
-Dance research task worked on. See "The Arts" Google Classroom. Due next Thursday January 23rd.
