Homework, News, and Announcements

Updates from the current day are always in yellow highlights.


Language:

-Reading:

-Jigsaw Puzzle King book now completed. Next week will be given comprehension questions for Chapter 11 and 12 and will be given final task (book report) for the novel. Identify the Big Meaning for YOUR OWN narrative non-fiction text now due. Use visualizing and other strategies to decode 2 words in your Narrative Non-Fiction book. See Google Classroom notes.
-Week 5 Day 1 - Morphemes work from the "Student Booklet".
-Here is our class "Epic Reading" code: ubx3440.
-STUDENTS SHOULD ALWAYS BE READING AT LEAST 30 MINUTES EVERY DAY ON A REGULAR BASIS!

-ALWAYS have a "Just Right"  (grade level, appropriate, etc.) book ready for every reading class.
-The following website you can now sign out books in the York Region District School Board DIGITAL LIBRARY!:
-Writing:
-Adding analysis to balance your evidence. See Google Classroom notes for full explanation


-Media Literacy:
-Worked on analyzing advertisements and creating advertisements. Will be due Friday April 25th.


Math:
-Representing Comparing and Ordering Fractions Lesson #1 Action Task and Your Turn Questions will be worked on TUESDAY!
-Here are some good math resources to explore: 

-Electricity Task #4 Culminating Task worked on. Will be due on Thursday April 24th.


Social Studies:
-Canada's Interactions with the Global Community Lesson #3 introduced. Canada's Interactions with the Global Community Lesson #2 now due!


Visual Arts:
-Perspective Art introduced. Will be worked on next week.
-Graffiti Art now due.



Health:
-Scenarios about Stress and Pressure in Relationships worked on. Presentations now ongoing.


Drama/Dance:
-Worked on Inclusiveness Skits. Skits will be presented on next Day 3 on Wednesday April 23rd.
